About the Calendar

On the 2024 trip to Tanzania, volunteers set out to involve as many students as possible in creating this unique calendar. Younger students got messy with paint, while older ones showcased their drawing skills with illustrations of Tanzania’s incredible wildlife.

Back in Australia, our volunteers continued the creative journey, cutting, gluing, and piecing together collages using the younger students’ artwork to recreate the older students’ beautiful animal illustrations.

By purchasing this calendar, you’re not just getting art for your wall; you’re making a real difference in the lives of Bandari students—one page at a time.

The Impact of Your Purchase

Every calendar sold directly supports the Bandari Project. Here’s what your purchase can provide:

  • One Calendar = A New Set of Paints for a Class: Equip students with essential art supplies to continue their creative journey.
  • One Calendar = A School Uniform for a Student: Help a student attend school with pride in a brand-new uniform.
  • One Calendar = 2 Soccer Balls for the Playground: Bring joy and play to the students during their breaks.

Creating this calendar was an amazing experience for my daughter and I who volunteered at the Bandari Project this year. It was incredible to see the students get creative and show off their talents, and then to help bring the calender to life on our return back home.
Each page is a true collaboration, filled with heart and the talent of Bandari students and volunteers.

About the Bandari Project

The Bandari Project is a not for profit organisation helping to break the cycle of poverty by providing educational opportunities to underprivileged children and women in Mto wa Mbu, Tanzania.

At our school we offer a safe and engaging learning experience to children who normally wouldn’t have access to schooling.

We also work with women living in difficult circumstances, giving them opportunities in education and agriculture.

Support Bandari with Every Calendar!

Why should I donate to the Bandari Project?

The Bandari Project is run by volunteers in Australia, which means that 100% of your donation goes to where it is most needed.  We believe that providing a quality education to children living in poverty is the best way to help them improve their lives, and those of their loved ones as well.

Are my donations/sponsorship payments tax deductible?

Yes.  The Bandari Project has DGR status in Australia, which means that all donations made to us are tax deductible.

How are my donations used?

Your donation will go towards running our project in Tanzania.  It could be used to help us build a new classroom, provide resources for the students, buy a new cow, help us pay our staff, buy petrol for the bus etc.

Do you take any administration fees from my donation?

No.

Can I donate to a specific part of the project e.g. the Women’s Project?

Absolutely.  If there is a part of our project that you feel passionately about, let us know and we will make sure that is where you money goes.
