The Bandari Project is run by volunteers in Australia and this means that 100% of your donation will go to where it is most needed.  We believe that providing a quality education to children living in poverty is the best way to help them improve their lives, and those of their loved ones as well.

We currently have five functional classrooms, and we will continue to add 1 class each year until we have a full primary school with 160 students.

There’s much work to do as we continue to expand and grow, and we need to raise a minimum of $60,000 (AUD) per year to continue working on the school as well as paying our staff.

Donate today and help us reach our goal!

The Bandari Project has DGR status in Australia, which means that all donations made to us are tax deductible.

Running a school, supporting 100+ students as well as the growth and development of our Sustainability, Women and Community projects, is a huge job!

Your donation in invaluable no matter how big, and will support our project to reach its goals and fund future projects.

Bandari Students waiting to board school bus

Go Juice!

$200 = 1 month of fuel for our School bus

Every day our students get picked up by the school bus from their specific station in all the villages that our students live in.

There are always happy faces to climb on board because, before we got our wheels, students as young as 5 or 6 years old were walking up to an hour each way to get to and from school!

$200 = 1 month of fuel

Brown chickens in yard

Chickens!

$20 = 4 Chickens

Our chickens provide an opportunity to create an income to support the ongoing costs of our project. Sustainability is always our mission and investing in ideas like this will see that as we grow we rely less on donations.

The Bandari chickens provide us with plenty of eggs for sale, but also a learning experience for students and the women participating in the Women’s Project.

$20 = 4 x Chickens

2 Tanzanian women sewing at treadle sewing machines

Let’s get sewing!

$30 = 1 month wage

Our Women’s Project supports marginalised women, by giving them knowledge and skills to build their future.

Our main focus at this time is our sewing program, where vulnerable women from the community are taught sewing skills. Once they are competent they receive assistance to find employment or to start their own tailoring business!

$30 = Teacher x 1 month
